About the Role:
Due to rapid company expansion, McQuillan Boiler Services LTD are seeking a skilled and motivated Pipe Fitter Welder to join our team. You’ll be responsible for fitting, assembling, and welding piping systems across a variety of industrial projects. If you have a strong work ethic, operate well as part of a team & take pride in your work, then we’d like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret, drawings, piping isometric drawings and specifications
- Fabricate, install, and repair piping systems (steel, stainless steel, etc)
- Perform TIG/MIG welding to a high standard
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe accurately
- Familiar with pressure testing pipework systems for leaks using appropriate
equipment
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pipe fitter and welder
- Previous experience working on steam & industrial hot water system would
be advantageous.
- Proficient in various welding techniques (TIG, MIG)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and piping schematics
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
- Valid welding certification (Previously coded would be and advantage but not essential)
- CSCS or equivalent site safety card (preferable but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
