Contract: 18 month fixed-term contract

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week (We are open to flexible working requests such as compressed hours or a 4 day week)

Location: Stratford, London Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

As a Data Assistant your role will be to enable the department to manage bespoke relationships with Philanthropists by ensuring the high quality data and processes which support the departments activities are maintained

As a part of the wider CRUK fundraising efforts, the Philanthropy Directorate is one of the largest and most successful fundraising teams in the UK. An ambitious and innovative team of 60 talented philanthropy professionals, our focus is the £400m ‘ More Research, Less Cancer’ (MRLC) campaign which has four key priorities: the Francis Crick Institute, Cancer Grand Challenges, Translation & Innovation, and our Future Leaders’ programme. We’ve recently reached the milestone of £200m.

We are seeking a curious, diligent and proactive individual who can assist our Philanthropy department with database maintenance, financial processes and exploratory analysis to enable excellent reporting and underpin all other aspects of the departments work.

What will I be doing?

  • You will control and manage the flow of data from the philanthropy department onto the organisations CRM (Siebel)

  • Provide regular reports for teams across the directorate

  • Maintain data integrity and update fields on the departmental CRM

  • Provide basic/introductory data quality training sessions in conjunction with the Insight and Reporting Manager to ensure consistent database use across the directorate.

  • Raise financial invoices and PO's on the organisational finance system where required

What are we looking for?

  • Experiences of working with databases and other data platforms

  • Experience of managing multiple responsibilities and tasks

  • Excellent analytical, data-management and problem-solving skills

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes, with a strong knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables/Graphs/VLookups)

  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Good attention to detail

  • Willingness to support colleagues in a range of work

Additional skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or other data visualisation tools

  • Knowledge of Fundraising/Charity processes and regulations

  • A knowledge of Salesforce CRM
