Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients. The Pharmacy Dispenser will assist in medication administration, manage inventory, and provide exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure proper labelling in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and reviewing medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications, dosages, and potential side effects.
- Maintain an organised inventory of pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring stock levels are monitored and replenished as necessary.
- Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks, including record keeping and managing patient profiles.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance knowledge of pharmaceuticals and patient care practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and pharmaceutical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and technology.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry developments.
