Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support medication administration processes.
Duties
- Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including labelling and packaging.
- Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
- Maintain an organised inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring stock levels are monitored and replenished as necessary.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
- Participate in patient care initiatives, contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of patients.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred; familiarity with medication administration is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care is crucial.
- Certification or qualification as a Pharmacy Technician is desirable but not mandatory.
