Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily responsibilities.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous.
- A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is essential.
