National Grid is hiring a Performance Administrator in our Customer and Network Development Team based in Warwick.

About the role

In this role you will be supporting our regional teams on project and region related data and the upkeep of core system performance data. You will also be a key part of driving the team’s messaging to bring excellent customer service to the forefront of all the work we do.

What you'll do

  • Gathering information from the wider business and updating information in core systems
  • Perform a technical secretary role for allocated forums/meetings in the region including action monitoring and follow-up to achieve satisfactory completion.
  • Coordinate input into lessons learnt repository for your designated portfolio to ensure we look at potential improvements
  • Undertake periodic reviews with key stakeholders, identify appropriate action owners within the business to embed improvements and generate communications to disseminate across Customer and Network Development (as appropriate)
  • Reviewing and analysing the regional data, generating reports from core systems to aid decision making within the region and looking at continuous improvement.
  • Support stakeholders across the business by driving the team’s customer service excellence messaging

What you'll need

Whilst your previous work experience is important and taken into consideration, what we are looking for in this role is someone who can drive excellent customer service. Someone who can take on the challenge of managing data whilst at the same time being able drive the messaging of the Performance Team, working alongside and supporting senior members of the wider National Grid Electricity Transmission workforce.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient experience in document management, including administration of online Collaborative Project Management systems (SharePoint, etc. (or similar)
  • The ability to use desktop software packages to coordinate and present management information in numerical, graphical and written formats. Also able to use packages to generate reports and interrogate data (e.g. Pivot tables)
  • Knowledge of the Electricity Transmission System would be desirable
