People Services Assistant

About The Role

Dals are on the lookout for an exciting new role at the heart of the business, a People Services Assistant. The role will be full time, 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday and report into the HR manager. Were looking for a dynamic driven individual with previous HR and recruitment experience desirable, the option to complete a HR apprenticeship will be available to work towards your CIPD if desired. We work on a hybrid basis with one working from home day per week, the other working days in the Old Trafford, Manchester Office.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responding to queries received in HR ticketing system

  • Employee life-cycle maintenance including adding new starters onto various systems and processing leavers

  • Issuing contracts and contract variations

  • Conducting onboarding, background checks and vetting checks

  • Maintenance of employee portals, benefits etc

  • Auditing the HRIS and maintaining personnel files

  • Support Line managers with attendance and performance issues

  • Book ER meetings, prepare associated paperwork and notetake

  • Building out and streamlining people team admin and processes

  • Curate and manage employee experiences coordinating with people plan
  • Supporting hiring leads to post jobs via the ATS and conducting weekly reporting on recruitment stats
  • Supporting hiring leads with weekly recruitment update emails on their vacancies
  • General office tasks such as ordering breakfasts, prepping rooms for training and owning employee engagement activities

About You

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

  • Self-motivated, resilient and driven to achieve targets and deliver results

  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, and online platforms.

  • Experience in fast-paced commercial HR roles

  • CIPD Fully or part qualified desirable, or desire to complete CIPD, previous experience in similar role
