Job Overview:
The People Advisor will work alongside the Director of People in ensuring first class people centric support to the business.
As a People Advisor you will have a broad knowledge of human resources functions and a real passion for creating a harmonious work environment ensuring people are at the centre of that.
You will approach work with a compassionate attitude displaying excellent communication skills and encouraging others to do the same. You will be solution focused and not afraid to raise your hand and challenge the status quo.
Responsibilities & Duties
Employee Relations
- Ensuring HR related policies and procedures are current and compliant with employment legislation.
- Supporting with ER cases and HR queries.
- Liaising with ACAS for early conciliation.
- Supporting on employment tribunal work where required.
- Providing advice and guidance to employees and line managers on issues relating to employment issues.
- Advising line managers and co-ordinating with the Occupational Health provider to manage long term absence and ensure employees' mental and physical wellbeing is suitably supported throughout the employee lifecycle.
Learning and Development
- Identify training needs of employees.
- Coaching and developing people managers in HR related areas.
- Collaborate with the creation of a suite of HR training for people managers.
- Supporting on Talent Management and Succession Planning initiatives as appropriate.
- Support with the development of the People Assistant and HR Apprentice.
Resourcing
- Working with internal stakeholders to identify recruitment needs.
- Supporting the Talent Team with recruitment including attending assessment centres and creating job descriptions.
- Company ambassador at job fairs/recruitment events.
- Support managers on management of probation periods.
- Support on annual appraisals.
Comp and Bens
- Participate in Bonus and Incentive activities.
- Participate in employee benefits strategies.
- Participate in salary reviews and benchmarking exercises.
Ad Hoc Duties
- Support other team members and departmental tasks as required by the business.
- KPI reporting as required.

- Demonstrable experience in all areas of HR
- CIPD Level 3

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
