About the Role and team
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Early Education Funding Team.
As an Early Education Funding Payments Officer, you will work with an established team and play an integral role in the administration and effective delivery of early education funding to private, voluntary and independent providers that offers vital early education to young children across Oxfordshire.
As part of this role, you will:
  • Work in collaboration with the team to effectively distribute and audit early education funding in line with statutory requirements and the Council’s audit and financial procedures.
  • Ensure the accurate, timely and effective administration and distribution of early education funding.
  • Proactively liaise with other colleagues, teams and agencies to provide a consistent service and take a pro-active approach to develop new systems and processes to ensure the most efficient distribution of funding is given.
  • Develop detailed knowledge of all aspects of early education funding so that detailed and complex queries from providers and parents can be responded to in a timely way.

  • Confidently able to input and retrieve data from ICT based systems as needed.
  • You will be able to travel throughout the county and hold a full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
