Summary
We are seeking a Passenger Assistant to join our team at Swanage Railway. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring an enjoyable and safe experience for our passengers as they travel on our historic trains. Your contributions will help us maintain our commitment to exceptional service and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from trains.
- Provide information about train schedules, routes, and safety procedures.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of passengers during their journey.
- Monitor passenger behaviour and address any concerns or issues that arise.
- Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within train carriages.
- Engage with visitors to enhance their experience and promote the heritage of the railway.
Requirements
- Strong time management skills to effectively assist passengers during busy periods.
- Ability to analyse situations quickly and respond appropriately to ensure passenger safety.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not required.

Expected hours: 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
