Location: Manchester and surrounding areas (Tameside Area is Preferred)
Hours: Term-time only, part-time (mornings and afternoons)

About the Role
Streetcars Manchester is looking for caring, reliable, and responsible individuals to join our team as Passenger Assistants. You will play a vital role in ensuring that children and young people, including those with special educational needs (SEN) or mobility requirements, travel safely and comfortably to and from school.
This is a rewarding position that makes a real difference to families and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist children and young people during home-to-school transport runs.
- Ensure passenger safety at all times, including use of seatbelts and specialist equipment.
- Provide care and support for children with additional needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and schools.
- Work closely with drivers to maintain a smooth and safe journey.
- Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns promptly.
About You

- Able to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Confident in handling sensitive situations calmly.
- Flexible and committed to term-time working.
Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable groups is desirable, but full training will be provided.
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Availability during school term times (mornings and afternoons).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Willingness to complete our safguarding course
