Join Our Team as a Participation Officer!
Have you noticed all the exciting things happening in Participation over the past year? There's been so much going on, and there's even more to come!
We're looking for a Participation Officer to join our team on a fixed-term, 12-month basis while our current officer welcomes her own child!
In the past year, we've seen:
- Children In Care Councils reestablished and growing in attendance and representation
- 2 Big Business Challenges where young people voiced their main issues and solutions
- Our first-ever Big Takeover Day with young people taking over senior roles and suggesting improvements
- Young people on interview panels, giving feedback on candidates
- Young people nominated and shortlisted for national awards
- Young people involved in planning the annual celebration event
- Participation in the Corporate Parenting Panel, speaking directly to Councillors
- Launch of the Young Ambassador Programme
And there's so much more!
What We're Looking For:
- Enthusiasm and drive to engage with young people and services
- Championing young people's voices in decision-making processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with young people and translate their insights to services
