Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, serving as the first point of contact for clients and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent phone etiquette, and a proactive attitude towards administrative tasks.
Duties
- Greet visitors, staff and students warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage incoming calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform clerical duties including data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Organise and maintain filing systems both physically and electronically.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars using Google Suite.
- Support the team with various administrative tasks as needed, ensuring efficient office operations.
- Administer basic first aid for students, staff and any visitors, if required.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role is preferred.
- Proficiency in computerised systems, particularly Google Suite.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks performed.
- Remain calm under pressure.
- First aid trained.
- Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
SALARY:
KGA Band 1, Points 1-2. £23,473pa-£23,656pa, pro rata plus £706pa Outer London Fringe, pro rata
Actual gross salary (inc. OLF) £8,221pa-£8,283pa.
The post is for 14.80 hours per week, hours of work will be 8.00am – 4.00pm Mondays and Tuesday. Flexibility to work additional hours during the holidays may be required.

Having working experience within in an educational setting in a similar role would be a distinct advantage. Flexibility to work additional hours during the holidays will be required.
