Part-Time Freelance Maintenance Operative
We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Freelance Part-Time Maintenance Operative to support the general upkeep of all buildings and maintain the overall appearance of the park and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance tasks across the entire site.
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in safe and working order.
- Assisting visitors with basic maintenance-related issues as required.
- Undertaking delegated tasks and providing support during corporate volunteer days.
You will need to work flexibly as part of the departmental rota, which includes some weekend and bank holiday shifts.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- An NVQ in Carpentry, Building, or a related trade is desirable, though equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience handling tools and performing hands-on maintenance work is essential.
- A broad range of building and estate maintenance skills.
- A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a varied and dynamic environment.
