If you are committed to providing excellent customer service and can contribute cheerfully and positively to an efficient, quality library service, then Alsager Library could be the place for you. We currently have a vacancy for a Library Assistant to work 10.25 hours per week. This post is temporary until 30th September 2026
We need you to have the energy and enthusiasm to deliver the services we provide and be able to work as part of a small team of dedicated staff carrying out a wide range of library duties, responding to the needs of the Council's Customer Service Point located in the library and be involved in assisting and running events for both adults and children.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent IT and communication skills, an interest in books and lifelong learning and have experience of working in a customer facing environment.
The 10.25 hours are worked over a two week timetable and will include alternate Saturday mornings. The approximate pattern of hours are detailed below. There is a need for flexibility as there may be times when you could be asked to work at other libraries.
