We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils.
- Ensure that food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met.
- Support the serving of meals during busy periods.
- Assist with catering events as needed, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality food.
- Help manage stock levels by reporting any shortages or discrepancies to senior staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including restaurant or catering experience.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary techniques.
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.

Pay: £12.21-£12.46 per hour
