Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities to interact with customers and team members effectively.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- A valid driving licence (manual) with a clean driving record is essential; experience driving larger vehicles (e.g., commercial driving) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 20 kg) safely and efficiently.
