What you’ll be doing:
You will be responsible for providing a customer friendly service to customers visiting the transfer station and household waste and recycling centre based in Chalvey.
The facility offers a variety of services including a commercial waste disposal service via a weigh bridge and a household waste facility for Slough residents to use. The service runs 7 days a week, 363 days of the year, so you will be required to work some weekends on a rota basis, for which an overtime payment is paid.
Working in a team of skilled and unskilled operatives you will work as a cohesive team to run an efficient service for customers, which will involve a variety of roles and functions based on both the HWRC site and the transfer station.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your Director.
