You should ideally have one of the following qualifications: x2 A level passes / Level 3 Diploma / International Baccalaureate/BTEC and and interest in Warehousing or Operations.
You will gain valuable insights into many aspects of Business Operations, including how to be a Stock Controller and Business Administrator and we would sponsor and support you through the relevant qualifications to enable you to grow your career.
Our Operational Support team offers vital services to our 24 hour Distribution Centre operations, and help fulfill many hundreds of orders every day.
Working hours
Full-time, in-person position at our Portbury Warehouse.
A rotating shift pattern of 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm.
This is a 2 year fixed term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Job Purpose
Assist our Administration and Stock Control departments to support our warehousing functions and our overall business objectives.
Use various IT packages such as the Microsoft Suite, our Warehouse Management System and our SAP ERP system to record and analyse data. Full training will be given on the software.
Produce accurate documents and records including emails, files and reports. Whilst doing this we will encourage you to take a ‘challenge the status quo’ mindset and offer new suggestions to business processes.
Develop critical communication skills, whether electronically or face to face. Also, learning the most appropriate channels of communication, depending on the circumstance.
Understand Stock Control processes and uphold our stock control values. Take responsibility and contribute to some of our key performance indicators such as counting our inventory.
Build and maintain positive relationships across the operations department.
You should have the following Key Skills
- Interest in Operations / Administration / Warehousing.
- Dedicated to completing a Level 3 Apprenticeship course to the highest standard possible.
- Enjoys problem Solving
- Effective communicator
- Ambitious / career driven
- Full UK Driving License
What you'll gain
