Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently scan and file proof of delivery documents.
- Accurately input job details into the Transport Management System (TMS).
- Monitor deliveries to ensure they’re on track and address any issues as they arise.
- Communicate with customers about any delays or issues affecting deliveries.
- Stay in regular contact with drivers, ensuring any challenges they encounter are reported and resolved promptly.
- Coordinate and schedule deliveries, ensuring clear communication with customers throughout.
- Handle inbound calls from customers and other depots, providing assistance with any queries or concerns.
- Prepare and generate freight reports.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, with a strong background in operations, ideally within transport or logistics.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure, addressing operational challenges effectively.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
