Operations Administrator
Location: Taylor Roofs, 3 Firth Road, Houstoun Industrial Estate, Livingston, EH54 5DJ
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: From £26,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We pride ourselves on our professional approach, strong team culture, and customer-first mindset. We’re now looking for a confident and organised Operations Administrator to join our dynamic operations team.
Role Overview:
This is a key support role within our operations team, working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities across the business. You’ll be responsible for job planning, material ordering, scheduling, and providing excellent customer and supplier communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate jobs with customers, contractors, and suppliers
- Handle all inbound and outbound calls and email communications within the Operations department
- Order and manage materials for ongoing projects
- Arrange scaffolding, skip permits, and other job logistics
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain job files and update project statuses
- Support the Operations Manager with planning and administration tasks
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and communication
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent planning skills
- A confident communicator – both written and verbal
- Precise and detail-focused in their work
- Able to take instruction and follow through tasks competently
- Proactive and able to work on their own initiative
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in job planning or scheduling
- Working knowledge of BigChange software (or similar job management platforms)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Understanding of operations in construction, maintenance, or roofing is a plus
