Role Title: Nursery Volunteer
Location: Roberts Day Nursery, Fratton Community Centre, Portsmouth
Flexible hours available: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, or as agreed with the Nursery Manager

Your Role & Responsibilities:
Engage with children through interactive play and structured activities.
Assist in setting up and participating in fun and educational experiences.
Support children with toileting, handwashing, and hygiene routines.
Help with meal preparation, lunchtime support, and maintaining a clean eating area. (Food & Hygiene training provided!)
Ensure the nursery remains a safe and welcoming space for all.
Report any safeguarding concerns to the Nursery Manager or senior staff immediately.
Who We’re Looking For:
A friendly and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children.
Someone with strong communication skills who can relate to people of all ages.
A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
Willingness to learn and attend training sessions to enhance your skills.
Some knowledge or understanding of child development, safeguarding, or nursery provision would be a bonus – but not essential!
