We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Trainee to join our team. This apprenticeship role is perfect for individuals passionate about early childhood education who are eager to gain hands-on experience while working towards their SVQ Level 3 qualification.
As a Nursery Trainee, you will assist in providing high-quality care and education to children, supporting their learning and development through engaging activities in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily care of children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness.
- Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to maintain a positive nursery environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour by encouraging positive interactions.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery setting.
- Observe and record children’s progress, sharing feedback with senior staff.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support both children and families.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in early childhood education and childcare.
- Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to drive is preferred (for nursery-related travel purposes).
- Leadership qualities, with the confidence to manage small groups of children.
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow as part of a dynamic team.
- Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children.
