Nursery School Housekeeper
Part-Time | Alvechurch | 15 hours
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and organised Housekeeper to join our nurturing nursery school team.
Our setting is a warm and welcoming environment where children are free to explore, play, and grow—and we rely on a calm, clean, and well-organised space to make that possible.
Your Role:
As our Housekeeper, you'll play an essential part in the day-to-day running of our nursery by keeping our environment clean, hygienic, and inviting. You’ll support the staff team by ensuring everything is in its place and ready for our little learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily cleaning of all nursery areas including playrooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces
- Washing up and tidying kitchen areas after meals
- Organising equipment and maintaining tidy, clutter-free spaces
- Managing laundry, including washing, drying, folding and storing
- Sanitising toys, equipment, and surfaces to maintain high hygiene standards
- Supporting the duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- A positive, can-do attitude and a good eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- A commitment to cleanliness, safety, and confidentiality
- Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities (training can be provided)
- Experience in a similar role or setting (preferred but not essential)
- Someone who takes pride in creating a warm, clean environment for children and staff
Job Details:
- Monday - Friday 4.00pm - 7.00pm (hours can be discussed)
- £12.50 per hour
- Year-round
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and receipt of two satisfactory references.
