Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. MUST BE LEVEL 3 QUALIFIED. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children aged from birth to five years.
Duties
- Provide attentive and responsive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure continuity of care.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual needs.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a smooth flow of activities.
- Drive initiatives that promote positive behaviour and social skills among children.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive environment that welcomes diversity.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in childcare or working with children in a nursery setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting children or materials as needed.
