Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our outstanding team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education for children in a nurturing environment. You will be responsible for fostering children's development through engaging activities while ensuring their safety and wellbeing. This position requires strong skills, along with a genuine love for working with young children.
Duties
- Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise and engage with children, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the nursery's educational programmes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as nursery policies.
- Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and rest periods.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.
Experience
- Proven experience working in childcare or nursery settings, demonstrating a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
- leadership experience is advantageous, particularly in guiding junior staff or volunteers.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Previous nursery experience is highly desirable, along with a background in childcare or related fields.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
