Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of the nursery while fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's development and learning.
- Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.
- Support the lead nursery staff in maintaining a clean and organised environment.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities.
- Build strong relationships with children and their families, providing updates on progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other team members to create a cohesive approach to childcare.
Skills
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Leadership qualities to help guide and support children during activities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and positive attitude.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
