Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Night Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that our guests feel welcomed and well taken care of during their stay. This position requires a strong commitment to hospitality, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with guests from diverse backgrounds.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm welcome.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in reception, function rooms and throughout the hotel. .
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out processes as needed.
- Respond to guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Ensuring the hotel is ready for the following days functions.
- Monitor the condition of the hotel premises and report any maintenance or security issues.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or hotel environment is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on guest services.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform duties that may include lifting luggage, standing for extended periods and relaying of function rooms.
- Good communication skills to be able to follow the nights brief.
- Flexibility to work various shifts across the week including weekends and bank holidays.
