Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and through home care services. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for those in their care. This role is vital in ensuring that our clients receive the assistance they need while maintaining their dignity and independence.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in following their individual care plans, ensuring that their specific needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, fostering a trusting relationship.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition, reporting concerns to senior staff as necessary.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to care practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong command of the English language for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client care.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges within the role.
