Multi Trade – 2nd Fix Carpenter (Internals)
We are seeking a passionate and charismatic multi-trade carpenter to work for us on our maintenance team and small projects predominantly working on jobs in the Bath area.
Responsibilities:
· Reporting directly with senior management to fully understand job. requirements
· Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed to provide estimations and quotations
· Inspect places and conduct repairs and maintenance
· Provide notes and pictures after each job on an iPad to update the team
· Be available to work between the hours of 07:30 – 16:30 Mon-Fri
The ideal candidate will have experience and be able to carry out the following tasks:
· Proven experience in fire door fitting & remedial work
· Proven experience in 2nd fix carpentry with a keen eye for detail
· Built in cabinets and cupboards for electrical boxes, gas meters sometimes with the need for these to meet fire regulations
· Ideally proficient in another trade such as tiling, small plastering works, decoration, roofing repairs,
· Excellent communication skills
· Full UK driving licence
· Can do attitude towards tasks
· Able to make quick decisions under own initiative with an appreciation of the commercial consequences
· Excellent understanding of general maintenance and carpentry methods of instillation and construction
· Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measuring tools
· Ability to read technical documents and drawings
· Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
