Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and other commercial vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care of all products during transit.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.
- A valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
