Scruffy Dog Productions Limited is a world-leading creative design and production company, specialising in immersive experiences, props, and set builds for film, TV, theatre, and live entertainment. We are looking for a skilled Mould Maker to support our busy workshop team on a short-term freelance basis.
Role Overview
The Mould Maker will be responsible for producing high-quality moulds in rubber/RTV and fibreglass, alongside casting work for props. This role requires excellent technical ability, problem-solving skills, and a hands-on approach to achieve precision and durability in every mould.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate and durable moulds using rubber/RTV and fibreglass techniques.
- Carry out moulding and casting for props and scenic production.
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship while working under production time pressures.
- Follow health and safety practices within the workshop environment.
Requirements
- Strong background in mould making, casting, and materials handling.
- Experience working in film, or creative production workshops is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
- Strong eye for detail, finish, and structural integrity.
Contract Details
- Freelance role, 2–3 week contract with possibility to extend based on requirement and performance.
- Immediate start preferred.
- Competitive daily rate, depending on experience.
