About the Role
We are looking for a friendly volunteer to help provide information and advice on alternative transport options for disabled people – helping make their journeys easier, whether that’s getting to hospital appointments, visiting friend or joining local activities.
Who We Are
Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) is a Surrey-based charity with a national reach. QEF Mobility Services provides free accessible transport advice and information; helping disabled people, and those with age-related impairments, get out and about.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Transport Advice Service is still in its infancy so you will play an important role in collecting feedback to help us improve the way we support our clients. Tasks include:
- Phoning clients to ask how our services and advice worked for them
- Sharing any feedback or further help they might need with the team
- Archiving electronic and hard copy client files
- Inputting data and photocopying
Why Volunteer With Us?
There are loads of great reasons to get involved:
- Be part of a welcoming, supportive team at QEF Mobility Services
- Gain experience in advice and support services
- Boost your CV with real-life office and admin experience
- Make a genuine difference in people’s everyday lives
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need experience in transport or accessibility—just a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Basic computer skills are useful (especially if you know SharePoint, but full training will be provided).
This role requires an Enhanced DBS check.
Time Commitment
One day per week (4 to 6 hours) on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. We try to offer flexibility so you can work around your other commitments.
*To apply for this role, please email [email protected] or call Hazel on 07771575198. You do NOT need to upload a CV or covering letter*
