We’re looking for a talented Midweight Motion Designer to join our award-winning team in central Bath.
About the role
You will be responsible for expressing our client’s brands through motion design, across brand, campaign, and social. Wherever they sit on-screen, you will help shape it. As Midweight Motion Designer, you will report to our Art Director and work closely with our Creative Director, as well as other senior team members, to create exciting, visually compelling concepts and motion design principles. You will work across everything from fully integrated marketing campaigns to explainer videos, right down to simple animated social assets and web banners.
Responsibilities
- Be the go-to for everything motion in the agency
- Work with our Creative Director and Senior Designers to bring our clients’ brands and campaigns to life
- Generate concepts, create storyboards, and support your ideas with considered references
- Day-to-day, you’ll be a hands-on member of the team, delivering work to the highest standard for our clients
- Supporting other members of the design team with occasional non-motion design projects
- Present your work to internal and external stakeholders
- Have courage in your convictions and be accountable
- Be proactive and see every project as an opportunity

Your skills and experience We’re looking for an all-around motion designer, someone who is as comfortable animating characters as they are transitions. Using After Effects and expressions is like a second language to you—if you know your way around Cinema 4D, Blender, and Premiere, even better. You will have a solid approach to developing your ideas, from initial concepts, to storyboarding and animatics, through to final production, and you will understand the important role sound plays in your work. As well as the above, we’re looking for the following skills:
Essential
- 3–5 years of experience in an agency environment.
- Proactive, curious, and accountable
- Excellent communication skills and experience in pitching your ideas to internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience in producing animations from concept through to final delivery and across a variety of touchpoints
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills
Desirable
- Previous experience as a designer with knowledge of graphic design principles such as typography, grids, colour semiotics
- Experience working across the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as Figma
