Job summary
Based in the Facilities department working as part of a small, dedicated Portering Team.
The primary purpose of this role is to transfer patients between departments and wards in a caring and efficient manner, helping to support the flow of patients through the hospital.
Also transporting equipment such as medical gasses, linen and other items as needed.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
Transferring patients by bed or chair between departments and wards as needed for their treatment through the hospital. Replace Medical gasses as and when required. Take clean linen from the linen room to the department. Remove used linen to appropriate used linen cupboard using trolly provided. Take equipment to various departments as needed.
