Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our high-performing team.
About the Role
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will work as part of our production team, focusing on the assembly and preparation of pipeline pigs and associated components. This is a hands-on role involving mechanical fitting, inspection, and final preparation for shipment, contributing directly to the quality and performance of our equipment in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble pipeline pig components, including cups, discs, brushes, and sealing elements
- Read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate builds
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic presses safely and effectively
- Conduct functional and visual quality checks to meet Propipe’s standards
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to all health and safety protocols
- Liaise with production, engineering, and the works manager
- Support packing and shipment preparation of completed products when required
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly, ideally within the oil & gas or pipeline equipment sectors
- Competence in reading technical drawings and using measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, durometer, tape measures)
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Relevant qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £20,280.00-£30,000.00 per year
