Job Summary
Cranleigh School is a leading fully co-educational independent boarding and day Senior School consisting of around 670 girls and boys of 13 – 18 years of age.
Cranleigh School is seeking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Matron to become part of our successful and dynamic boarding team.
You will provide a welcoming presence, pastoral care, health care and oversee domestic arrangements for a boarding house.
At least two matrons are employed in each House whose duties are divided equally. There is a matron on duty from 7.30am until 10.00pm every weekday (with a handover in between) and on Saturday mornings from 7.30am until 11.15am. The current shift pattern for this role is to work the early shift one day from 7.30am – 3.00pm on Monday-Fridays and from 7.30am to 11.15am on Saturday, followed by a late shift the next day from 3.00pm until 10.00pm throughout the week, with the person working the late shift also working the Saturday morning shift. This shift should alternate from week to week with termly adjustments for shortfalls in any particular week.
A Car owner is required and you must be willing to work flexible shifts during the day, evenings & Saturday mornings (non-residential post).
