Early Years Assistant (Maternity Cover) Starting from November 2025
Location: Wallington
Contract Type: Temporary – Maternity Cover November 2025-2026
Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:30am-6:30pm
Job Purpose:
To support the nursery team in providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children. The role is temporary to cover maternity leave and does not require formal childcare qualifications, but the successful candidate should have a genuine interest in working with young children . This temporary role covers maternity leave and requires enthusiasm, and a passion for working with young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily care and supervision of children aged 3-4.
- Support qualified staff in setting up and tidying away activities.
- Help to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Follow the nursery’s safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents/carers.
Essential:
- A passion for working in Childcare
- A good understanding of Safeguarding
- A good understanding of the EYFS
This is a Temporary to cover maternity leave, expected to run from November 2025 to November 2026.
