POSITION OVERVIEW:
FoodBev Media is looking to hire an Events Marketing Executive to join the FoodBev Events team on a maternity cover fixed-term basis, from July 2025 to June 2026.
FoodBev Events hosts four annual, industry-leading events, spanning the dairy, soft drinks, water drinks and vertical farming sectors. As a lean, hands-on team, we manage every element of the event lifecycle in-house – from programme curation and speaker outreach to delegate and sponsorship sales, venue sourcing, supplier coordination and full on-site delivery.
As Events Marketing Executive, your primary focus will be driving delegate sales through thoughtful marketing campaigns, engaging written and visual content, and personalised outreach to past and prospective attendees. You’ll also help build relationships with media partners, maintain and update the events website, and support the wider team operationally – particularly in the lead-up to and during our live events.
This is a varied and fulfilling role, which pairs creativity, communication and a commercial focus. As part of a small but collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact – playing a pivotal role in ensuring the success of each event - seeing your work pay off through the engaging content you create, the relationships you build, the leads you generate, and the bookings you help secure.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Experience in a similar role is preferred - ideally with exposure to marketing, sales, or business development, and some hands-on design or content creation.
- A keen interest in the food and beverage industry.
- Excellent relationship building experience, with a personable and professional approach.
- Strong communication skills – confident and clear in both written and verbal formats, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and persuasive copy about our events - drawing from event details and past materials to create content that drives interest and sales.
- A natural eye for design and attention to detail, ensuring all visuals and materials align with our brand and are delivered to a high standard.
- Business-minded, with a firm and consistent drive to exceed revenue targets.
- Proactive, confident and self-sufficient - able to work calmly under pressure and on your own initiative.
- A collaborative team player – happy to support the wider team as required and take on varied responsibilities.
- Willingness to hit the ground running and the ability to pick up new skills quickly.

- Write and send periodic personalised sales emails to past and prospective delegates, highlighting key event updates to drive registrations.
- Identify and secure new delegate bookings through proactive outreach and relationship building, primarily LinkedIn and email.
- Respond to incoming delegate enquiries and leads promptly and professionally, going above and beyond to offer helpful, personalised support that fosters positive relationships.
- Manage updates to the events websites, including speaker profiles, programme details, sponsor logos and other key content.
- Liaise with media and association partners to maximise promotional exposure and secure relevant support.
- Support the wider event team with operational tasks as required, particularly in the lead-up to events.
