Gallagher Aggregates are seeking for a Masonry Operative to join our team.
As a Masonry Operative you will report to the Masonry Production Manager and assist in the smooth running of the Masonry department and in the production of high-quality bespoke stone masonry products.
Hours of role: This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday 7.00am to 17:30pm / Saturday (when required) 7.00am to 13.00pm
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Undertake Quality control (all walling stone, paving’s, tiles) at all times.
- Strict adherence to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and reporting of any incident/accident of any nature to the production supervisor/manager.
- Day to day duties making walling stone as required using a hydraulic press machine and hand dressing with tools.
- Ensure correct PPE is being worn at all times.
- Ensure good housekeeping is adhered to throughout the masonry dept (daily wash downs/clean up’s, concrete slab cleaned/scraped down, saws clear from debris and cleaned).
- Maintain machinery and report to Manager any machinery maintenance issues.
- Report to Manager any production issues to ensure production is continuous.
- Ensure workshop paperwork is completed (saw sheets dated and initialled for when they are completed, pallet tickets, delivery notes).
- You may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably require.
Candidates must:
- Believe in and uphold our company values.
- Construction experience and stonemasonry experience would be beneficial.
- Full Training provided.
- Work requires individual to be physically fit as it is a manual job.
