Aston Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gaydon. This is a hands-on, onsite, high-impact role that offers the rare opportunity to influence every stage of the vehicle lifecycle — from concept development through to delivery and decommissioning. Unlike roles in larger OEMs that often focus on a single area, this position spans multiple models and teams, offering exposure to a wide range of engineering challenges and the chance to develop a diverse skill set.
You’ll be placed within one of three core teams, each typically consisting of five direct collaborators within a wider network of thirty colleagues. You’ll play a central role in driving process and quality improvements across our Assembly facility. Your work will touch everything from tooling and layout planning to PFMEA, process control, and statistical problem resolution. You’ll be expected to engage with stakeholders across manufacturing, R&D, design, quality, finance and purchasing, focussed in Gaydon however dependant on projects our scope covers all our sites with occasional travel to external suppliers — making this one of the most connected roles in the business.
We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in engineering principles, whether gained through a university degree or an apprenticeship route. What matters most is your ability to apply structured problem-solving and your openness to learning. Experience bringing new products onto the line or installing systems, tooling or equipment is highly desirable, though not essential. Siemens Teamcentre, Nx and Autocad experience would also be advantageous.
In your first few months, you’ll be expected to build relationships, understand current processes, and begin contributing to live projects. Success will be measured by your ability to adapt, collaborate, and deliver meaningful improvements. The role is rewarding in its scope and impact — you’ll see your ideas come to life on the shopfloor and know that your work directly influences the quality and safety of every Aston Martin vehicle.
We value transparency, collaboration, and independence. You’ll need to be a strong communicator, comfortable working both in teams and on your own. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants to be part of a team that supports growth and development, this could be the perfect fit.
