The Salvation Army in Perth provides support for 30 males who are experiencing homelessness and have multiple and complex needs. Our role is to provide a safe place to stay with support. The service delivery model is rooted in the harm reduction approach, based on trauma informed practice, strength based and person-centred approaches.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Maintenance Person to join our team.
Key Responsibilities: As someone committed to providing a high-quality environment for our clients, as Maintenance Person you will be responsible for general day to day repairs, decorating, health and safety checks & dealing with contractors.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Awareness of Health and Safety Regulations and responding appropriately
- Keeping all appropriate paperwork evidencing tasks completed to support the services provided at the Lifehouse.
- Experience and competence in general property maintenance
- Experience in basic DIY works to facilitate the upkeep of the building
- Undertake any training as deemed necessary
- A can do and non- judgemental attitude
