Caretaker - Full Time 40 hrs per week working 5 days over 7

You take ownership and responsibility for the tasks assigned to you and ensure they are carried out in a timely manner. You are organised and keep on top of your paperwork, you stay safe and ensure compliance to all due diligence requirements and legislation.

What you will be doing
General Maintenance
- Undertake some cleaning duties around the development such as bin rotation, waste management, general grounds maintenance and external litter picking.
Building and Room Maintenance
- Point of contact for 3rd party contractors attending site for planned preventative maintenance
- Be able to respond effectively to emergency call outs/situations
- Undertake pre-move in safety/maintenance checks
- Control maintenance tools, stock and materials are kept to an acceptable level and usable standard
- Primarily focussed on maintenance across the accommodation including preventative, reactive and redecoration as required
- Routine checks of M&E systems like water tank and pump rooms
Health and Safety
- Support the General Manager in ensuring all aspects of building health and safety are met at all times
- Undertake routine fire alarm/fire life safety equipment testing
- Ensure any works completed are compliant and in line with HSE
What you need to be considered:
- A minimum of 3 years experience working within general maintenance, basic plumbing and painting skills (electrical skills desirable)
- Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance
- Good communication skills
- Good eye for detail and high standards
