Responsibilities
- Operate digging machinery, including excavators and backhoes, to perform excavation tasks.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Dig trenches, foundations, and other necessary excavations according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and reporting any issues to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on site.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as required.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of digging machinery and its operation.
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment.
- Ability to dig accurately according to project plans and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork on site.
- A valid driving licence is preferred.
