Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver to join our team. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations. This position requires excellent communication skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a van or flatbed truck.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Luton van to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to drive a van or flatbed truck safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and procedures
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle maintenance
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
