Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled installer (or preferably two man team) to join our business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of loft boarding systems, loft access and insulation, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various installation tasks.
- Fabricate custom solutions to meet specific project needs.
- Ensure all installations are completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets project specifications.
- Maintain an organised and clean work environment throughout the installation process.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues that may arise during installations.
Requirements
- Carpentry experience is generally necessary but if you are proficient at using carpentry tools and have a keen eye for neatness and a job 'done properly' then you will be considered.
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools (not provided).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
- A valid driver's license is required.
A standard day will consist of collecting materials from our storage yard before driving to site for an 8am start. We mostly work on a job-a-day basis, i.e. when the job is finished you will be finished for the day. Generally this will be before 2pm but as you get to grips with the work lunchtime finishes can become regular. There will conversely occasionally be days that run over where a late finish will be needed. Cleaning up at the clients house once work is complete and 'handing over' is an important part of the job, so you should be happy customer facing.
This is loft work - so there is plenty of crawling around required, so you will need to be fairly mobile, and happy working off a ladder!
In an ideal world you will be a two man team, maybe a skilled worker with a labourer.
This is not necessarily full time (but can be) - we have teams that have worked 3 days a week enabling them to do there own work on other days. We are very flexible.
