Genesis Biomass (part of Pretoria Energy) is currently looking for an experienced telehandler operator to load / unload straw bales and make stable stacks in a safe and timely manner, using our JCB machines.
This job would suit someone who enjoys working outside all year round. You should be reliable and methodical, able to work independently and unsupervised.
We are based near Ely, Cambridgeshire. Travel to straw stacks in surrounding counties is an integral part of the job.
Description:
- Travel to different sites
- Loading straw lorries from high stacks safely and efficiently.
- High stacking of straw bales.
- Maintain the Telehandler in good working condition.
- Keep accurate records of number and quality of bales loaded.
- 4 on - 4 off shift
- Flexibility to work additional days and cover holidays
- High-quality modern JCB machinery and equipment
- A van + fuel card will be supplied to move from stack to stack.
- Van will be fitted with a 600L diesel tank, tools and spare parts.
Other duties to include.
- Operating our Nuhn lagoon mixer.
- Help with winter maintenance on chasers and balers.
- Help with straw baling season
- Bale chasing
- Baler
- High Stacking
Requirements
- Proven experience in loading straw lorries and high stacking preferable.
- Training in different aspects of the role available.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Team-player with a flexible attitude
