Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female live-in carer who speaks Punjabi to provide high-quality support to an Asian lady in their own home. The ideal candidate will have a live-in experience and must be ready to work independently. Experience in home care and a strong understanding of home digital software are vital. The qualified candidate will ensure that clients receive the assistance they need to maintain an optimum quality of life. This role requires excellent communication skills in Punjabi, medication training, dementia and stroke awareness, and the ability to adapt to various situations while providing empathetic care. The client is bedbound and all care is delivered in bed.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
- Communicate effectively with the client, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and updates.
- Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed. For example, washing, cooking and cleaning the house. She is below 50kg and requires assistance with all care needs in bed.
