Library Services provides a wide range of high-quality library and information services to USW students, academics, and researchers.
We seek to appoint professional, friendly, and helpful candidates to support our library users as part of a frontline team, which delivers excellent customer service. Duties will be varied but will include face-to-face support, and manual and PC based tasks, all of which contribute to service delivery. A desire to work with customers and a commitment to excellent customer service is essential.
We are looking to recruit 2 Library Support Assistants to cover shifts at the Pontypridd campus libraries
The service runs Monday - Friday through the academic year.
There are two shift patterns:-
14:00-18:00
15:00-21:00
Hours available are :-
20 hours a week worked over 37 weeks (*plus some summer vacation shifts) 0.40FTE
Or
22 hours a week worked over 37 weeks (*plus some summer vacation shifts) 0.43FTE
- In addition, the team covers some reduced opening hours over the summer vacation, which also forms part of the contract and is shared between a team of 4 Library Support Assistants .
