Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires a keen understanding of flatbed operations and commercial driving regulations, ensuring timely and secure deliveries.
Duties
- Operate flatbed lorries for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for safe transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence with a category appropriate for flatbed lorries.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
